Role of Pro-inflammatory IL-8 and Anti-inflammatory IL-10 Cytokines in Dengue Severity
نویسندگان
چکیده
Introduction: During dengue infection, cytokine levels may increase as various cytokines are released from infected inflammatory cells. This study was conducted to measure the of IL-8 and IL-10 in patients correlate them with severity. Material & Methods: A prospective on febrile suspected fever, seeking medical care our institute. 107 cases confirmed have fever (by NS1/ IgM ELISA) 100 healthy individuals age sex matched, were included study. The clinical features all recorded, estimated by ELISA controls. Results: Out 400 having (26.75%) cases, which 56 (52.3%), 20 (18.7%), 31 (29%) positive for only NS1 antigen, antibody, both IgM, respectively. Depending severity disease, 9 (8.5%) classified severe while 98 (91.5%) non-severe fever. Mean (pg/ml) 281.6 ± 76.6, 150.41 55.9 75.4 49.2 dengue, controls respectively IL-10, values 219.4 150.5, 38.9 67.2, 6.6 0.65 among controls, Conclusion: level significantly raised compared suggesting their role causing disease a potential predictor fatal outcome.

Elevated levels of anti inflammatory IL-10 and pro inflammatory IL-17 in malignant pleural effusions
BACKGROUND Pleural effusions can be caused by highly different underlying diseases and are characterized by complex interactions of various local and circulating cells as well as numerous soluble parameters like interleukins (IL). Knowledge of this complex network can be helpful in order to make the differential diagnosis in known malignant pleural effusions and understand the underlying immuno...
متن کاملProinflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL-8), cytokine inhibitors (IL-6sR, sTNFRII) and anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-10, IL-13) in the pathogenesis of sepsis in newborns and infants.
The levels of the proinflammatory cytokines interleukin 6 (IL-6) and IL-8, and the anti-inflammatory cytokines IL-10 and IL-13 were studied in child patients with sepsis. The changes of the cytokine inhibitors soluble IL-6 receptor and soluble p75 TNF-alpha receptor were also investigated in the patients' sera. An increase of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokine levels was demonstrated at the ti...

Anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-4, IL-10, IL-13) in plasma during mesenteric infarction.
We have recently reported that excessive synthesis of proinflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-6 (IL6) and IL-8 may play a role in the pathogenesis of mesenteric infarction. IL-4, IL-10 and IL-13 are classified as anti-inflammatory cytokines because they reduce the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines by stimulated monocytes/macrophage. During several inflammatory states anti-inflammator...
متن کاملThe role of cytokines in seizures: interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-1Ra, IL-8, and IL-10
Brain insults, including neurotrauma, infection, and perinatal injuries such as hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, generate inflammation in the brain. These inflammatory cascades induce a wide spectrum of cytokines, which can cause neuron degeneration, have neurotoxic effects on brain tissue, and lead to the development of seizures, even if they are subclinical and occur at birth. Cytokines are s...
